Community Outreach Programs

Our experienced staff is dedicated to serving the needs of our community. They bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to our non-profit organization.

We facilitate charitable donations, ensuring your contributions make a real difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.

Our community outreach programs are designed to address various societal issues. We strive to make a positive impact in our community.

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intersession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request). Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Michael McGivney

Upcoming Events at our Council

Dear sister Columbiettes and brother Knights,

A Happy and Healthy New Year to all! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and ready to embrace 2026. I presented the St Liberata raffle donations to our local churches who were all so grateful for the funds to help their outreach program. This was a success due to everyone's hard work and dedication. Thank you all so much!

A special thanks to all the ladies who attended the blue mass and the advent tea. Both events are such meaningful and reflective times shared together.

From January to April our monthly meeting will be held at our lady of Mt Carmel event room next door from the chapel. They will be the third Saturday 1030-1230.

We are hoping more woman will attend as it will be held in the daytime. Please join us as we plan our winter and spring events.

      Some upcoming events for 2026:

1; annual hand bag drive, please hand in at February meeting a new or gently used bag filled with some items of your choosing. The bags will be donated to a local woman's

shelter. The ladies were all so thrilled last year with all our gifts to them.

2; annual dues to be submitted for Januarys meeting.

3; Columbiettes scholarships, information to be given in re to application process.

4; paint night event, Thursday 3/12 at 7 pm Our Lady of Mt Carmel. A variety of craft items to choose from. Please join us for an evening of fun together.

5; the Victorian Tea, our biggest fundraising event April 2026. Planning a coed event and will need everyone's help and input to make this a success.

6; other events in the spring will be Friendship night and the communion breakfast.

Continue to keep all our ill sister Columbiettes and brother knights in your prayers.

Marsha Laakmann shared her deep appreciation to everyone who prayed, called, send a cheerful note and visited her during her hospitalization and rehab. She is feeling so much better and states healing from her illness and ready to continue her progress at home. In addition, please keep our sister Columbiette Michelle Ronan in your prayers as she grieves the loss of her husband. Thank you to everyone who prayed for Edith Bussa as she regains her strength at home.

Special Birthday wishes sent out to our sister Columbiettes and brother knights who celebrated January and February Birthdays. Gods blessings to all of you.

May we all have a peaceful and productive 2026 as we work together to make the world a better place.
